‘Aim High’

Safer Internet Day 2017

Lesson: Information and communication technology

Clive C of E Primary school have enjoyed taking part in Safer Internet Day 2017!smiley

This year Safer Internet Day took place on 7th February with the slogan 'Be the change: unite for a better internet.'

We focused on the power and influence of images and videos in a digital youth culture. We were keen to highlight the positives and potential risks of sharing photos and videos online.

The day started with an assembly lead by the headteacher and our computing committee promoting the school's 'SMART' rules on how to stay safe whilst online. From then on the children across the school took part in fun and exciting e-safety activities, including power point presentations and poster making.

To carry the message about e-safety home, our computing committee organised 'SMART' stickers and golden rules to share with their parents.

The computing committee will be following up from this vitally important day by creating e-safety quizzes to be completed by the whole school throughout the rest of the year.
