Badger Class 2020 - 2021
Miss Cordey
Class 3 Teacher
A warm welcome to class three: an important year for all pupils on their academic journey. Here we will see important milestones as we end our primary school years. It is a period of transition where we encourage a greater ownership of pupils for their own learning. We constantly strive for greater independence which will serve pupils ongoing needs and give them autonomy as they move to secondary school.
The partnership between home and school becomes ever more central and crucial. It is a relationship which will make a significant difference to academic progress. As such we urge you to work with your child as the demands of work increase and get in touch with the school if you are having any problems or difficulties in your support.
In many ways this final stage will highlight class three pupils as role models and standard bearers for the school, not only academically but in the pastoral support which they can offer throughout the school.
Important events during the year are obviously the SATs which occur in May, (for year 6 students)to which we all have to work and contribute to achieve each pupil’s potential. Each term there is a reference point for you to monitor all curriculum plans and changes. The final term will see the class on a residential visit to Wales.
Finally, important as this year is, the crucial element is that all children enjoy their learning and thus achievement levels can rise.
Miss Cordey.
