We have had another great week in Red Squirrel class!

We have been working in groups in science this week to create a "fact video" about a chosen African animal. We recorded these and they were fantastic!

In English, we read the story "Mama Panya's Pancakes" and talked about the instructions to make pancakes at the end. We made our own pancakes which were very tasty!! Then, we wrote our own instructions for making pancakes, using imperative verbs (bossy verbs!) and year 2 added in adverbs.

In Maths, Year 1 have learnt the word "partition." We partitoned the number 5 in lots of different ways and then began to find one more and one less of numbers between 1 and 10. In Year 2, we have been using known facts to add and subtract 2-digit numbers. 

In RE, we made our very own advent wreath! We talked about what each of the candles represents. 

In PSHE, we read scenarios of bullying and talked about them. We then created our own freeze frames to show these scenarios and talked about how we could stand up for ourselves.

We have been busy practicing the songs for our Christmas play which is fast approaching!
