Hello Hedgehogs!
We've had a fantastic and very busy week in class- here's what we have been up to:
English.
This week, we've been focusing on writing strories that include speech. The children have been working hard to use inverted commas correctly, and we are seeing some great stone age imaginary work!
Maths
In maths, we have been exploring 3-4 digit numbers. The children have been learning how to decompose and compose these numbers confidently.
Science
Our science lessons have taken us deep into the world of rocks! We've been learning about the three main types: metamorphic, sedimentary and igneous.
PE.
In PE, we've enjoyed a mix of tag rugby and dance- not at the same time! The children have shown great energy and teamwork in both.
Woodland School.
We got very muddy and wet this week- but had lots of fun on the puddle-splashing walk! A real muddy adventure.
Spellings
This week's spelling patterns included:
Apostrophes for posession
"EAR" words
Statutory words fron the Year 3 and Year 4 spelling list
Project Afernoon.
The last week there is a project aternoon this will be a relaxed chance for the children to showcase some of their best work from this term in class. There's no need to make or bring anything in from home. We'll have another project afternoon before Christmas where children will get the chance to bring in or create something special- more details to follow soon!
Wishing you all a lovely weekend- and for those heading to the circus tonight, have a brilliant time!
