Our wonderful visit to the Gurdwara in Telford.
We had a wonderful and memorable trip to the Gurdwara in Telford, where the children experienced the warmth, kindness and generosity of the Sikh community.
On arrival, the children learned about the importance of showing respect in the Gurdwara. They removed their shoes and socks, washed their hands and covered their heads before entering this special place of worship.
During the visit, the children enjoyed a guided tour of the Gurdwara, learning about Sikh beliefs, traditions and the importance of kindness, equality and helping others.
One of the highlights of our trip was sharing a delicious meal in the Langar (community kitchen), lovingly prepared and served by volunteers. The children experienced first-hand the Sikh values of generosity, sharing and ensuring that everyone is welcome.
It was a joyful and enriching experience, filled with new learning, smiles and wonderful memories. We are so grateful to the Sikh community for their warm welcome and helping make our visit so special.
