Our visit to Home Farm!

We had a fantastic time at Home Farm yesterday. Although it was a very hot one, the children were brilliant and enjoyed every minute! We started off with a tour around the farm, feeding the lambs and looking at some of the machinery the farm used to use for milking the cows. We went on and fed some other animals such as the piglets, cows, sheep, goats and many more. After our tour, we had a visit from a real life beekeeper! She travels all the way from West Wales to maintain the beehives across the UK, some of them being in Attingham Park. She showed us what a hive looks like inside and we tried some honey that was still inside! Hazel very kindly gave each child a jar of honey to take home, which we were very excited about. A superb day all round!
