Trip to Ancient High House
Date: 4th Mar 2026 @ 11:47am
We had SUCH a fantastic day on Tuesday on our trip to Ancient High House to find out more about what life was like around the time of the great fire of London. It was a bit of a windy journey, but the children were superb and represented the school beautifully for the whole day. When we arrived, we split into two groups and completed a range of activities such as dressing up as tudors, creating our own wattle and daub walls, sorting objects into "rich" and "poor" and learning all about the life of a rich "lady" in tudor times. At the end of the day when we came back together as a class, it was amazing to hear just how much the children had learnt. Their enthusiasm for this topic has been so wonderful!! A big thank you to Miss Mottershead and Ms Mallon who supported us on our trip!
