We have had a fantastic "time to shine" week this week and the children have worked their socks off!

We have completed some maths, reading, spelling and phonics activities to show off all of the wonderful things that we have learned this term! We also wrote a fantastic piece of writing for our special writing journals!

On Monday it was our turn to host worship! The theme was friendship and we decided to spell out the word and talk about what each letter stands for. Everyone got involved and it was really lovely to watch!

In Science, we carried out an investigation. We wanted to identify the best way to wash our hands in order to get rid of germs. Each table had a different variable e.g. warm water with soap, cold water with no soap. We decided that the best way to wash our hands is with warm water and soap, and rubbing our hands together for 1 minute! We made posters to promote the importance of hand washing and keeping ourselves clean.

In Topic, we continued learning about the Wright Brothers and had a go making our own paper airplanes!

In RE, we learned about the significance of the "advent wreath" at Christmas time.

In DT, we have been busy making our cars! We have built the chassis and attached the wheels and axles. Now we need to make the body and decorate our vehicle.

In PE, we practiced our dribbling and played a game of "postball." The children have been developing their control of the ball.

We have continued to look at algorithms in computing. This week we created our own maze and had to write a clear algorithm to guide someone around it!

Have a fantastic weekend everyone!
