Please complete our booking form for tickets if you haven't already done so. https://forms.gle/QCZQoz4g4ti768RAA On Monday, we will also have our Advent Journey day when the whole school delves deeper into an RE topic. This year, we are looking at Advent through artwork and will be thinking about the journeys made by the people in the Christmas story.
Our book for the week, will be My name is not refugee where we will be looking at journeys made by children across the world, relating it to the journey that Mary and Joseph had to make before and after the birth of Jesus.
In phonics, Nursery will be learning the rhyme Heads Shoulders Knees and Toes. We will be learning about body percussion and using this to segment new words. Reception will be learning the last phase 2 phonemes, l ll le ss and applying these to our words. We will also be moving through our tricky words for the term.
In maths, Nursery are learning about size and will be comparing size of tall towers, lengths of train tracks and sizes of shoes to bring in mathematical language to say longer than shorter than and taller than. Reception continue their work on recognising digits and one to one counting to ensure accuracy.
In science, we will be learning about our senses and beginning to explore how we use senses in our every day life. WE will also be exploring solids and liquids by making fruit jelly, using a vegan, gluten free jelly mix and frozen fruit.
Have a lovely weekend.
