Morning everyone

As the weather heats up, we will be taking every step to ensure that the children are safe in the sun and avoiding over heating. Could we ask that everyone has a sun hat and sun cream please.

Next week, our book for the week is Stanley Stick. We are continuing to think of our own stories, both drawing pictures and writing.

In phonics, Nursery will be looking at the book At the Seaside and orally composing sentences about the pictures. Reception will be building their fluency in reading and in particular spelling.

In maths, Nursery continue their work on shape and using sticks to create 2D shapes. Reception will be learning about equal and unequal groups and continuing their work on doubles.

Next week, we have two big events that we will be going to. On Thursday, we will be walking down to Clive Village Hall for our Little City event. This is an early years role play event booked specially for Dormouse class, where children are able to explore different jobs as part of our Careers Day. As this is booked for Thursday afternoon, we will not be going to the woods next week.

On Friday morning, we have our sports morning with field events and track races. Everyone is welcome to join even if Friday is not their day. If you are planning to join us, please let the office know so that we can add your nursery child's name to the races list.
