As we begin our last week of this half term, we will be learning about our last traditional tale - 3 Billy Goats Gruff. We are planning to make zig zag books to retell the story and acting out the story.
Next week, we will learn about the word under for our word aware. We will be exploring different materials again and in particular learning about their strength. We will then be designing and making a bridge using different materials and testing them.
In phonics, Nursery will be playing I spy and thinking of words and objects that begin with g t b f. Reception will be learning about the sound dge at the end of words - bridge; wh and ve as in have.
In maths, Nursery will be continuing learning about one to one counting, making sure that we `tag` each number with a number name. Reception will be learning about the composition of numbers 6-8. Five and a bit.
Next week, we have our project afternoon. The children have been excited to share what they have been planning. We also have parents evening and I look forward to sharing the amazing achievements of all Dormouse children.
