Week Beginning 9th June

We are continuing to focus on our topic of Water and this week our book is Don't rock the boat. We had a fabulous boat made from a large cardboard box and this week, we will be making boats that we will test on the water. 

In phonics, Nursery are using their rhyming knowledge to make a poem about our boat and Reception are using and applying their phonics in reading and writing. They will be composing and writing sentences about the animals that travelled in the boat to the party in the story. 

In maths, Nursery are comparing measures and finding ot how many animals will fit into the boat and Reception are comparing amounts of objects.

On Thursday, we will be making Granola Bars. The ingredients are as follows

butter, brown sugar, clear honey, rolled oats, dried cranberries, coconut and sultanas. If you have any concerns around these ingredients and your child, please let the school office know as soon as possible.
