Week Beginning 9th March in Dormouse class

We have had a brilliant week focusing on books. Our main theme was characters and we finished this on Thursday with some fantastic characters coming into Dormouse class. Next week we continue our work on People who help us and are beginning to look at jobs. Please chat with your children about the world of work and the occupations that you have done or are in now. We will be continuing our work on naming family members and looking towards the words cousins, aunts and uncles.

In phonics, Nursery will be learning about rhyming and playing games to support this. Reception will be learning their new phonemes, oa as in goat, oo as in boot and oo as in book.

In maths, Nursery will be creating their own games using their subitising skills and dice and Reception will be learning about doubles, recognising them and exploring them as 2 equal parts.
