Week Beginning 9th November

We have had a fantastic start to the half term and it has been a delight to speak to so many of you about the progress that children are making. Thank you for all your support at home.

Next week, we continue our work learning about Building houses. We have been learning about different materials and why we use certain materials for certain parts of the house. We have been on a materials hunt and will be learning about the properties of materials.

In phonics, Nursery will continue to learn about rhyming and generating their own rhyming words. Reception will be learning and using the phonics sounds i n m d.

In maths, Nursery are using 1:1 correspondence when counting, saying number names in order and tagging each item with a number. Reception will be learning about ways to make 4. We will also be learning about shapes and the language that we can use to describe them.
